DEPARTMENT S

2012….gonna be a great year…….already have festival bookings in UK at The Alternative British Music Festival , Belgium’s Rewind and Spain where exact details will follow soon. We are looking for more and hoping to play a few more gigs in Europe, if you want us to play then drop us a line via this website. It’s nice to see that there is a “scene” starting again so we are looking forward to arranging some one off dates with a few familiar faces in the coming year.

We are also hoping to release an EP early in the year with a few guest players on the tracks…..nuff said…….and the long awaited 3rd Department S LP “The Constructivist’s Nightmare” which is currently being worked on at the world famous Shabby Road studio.

2011 was a great year having released our LP “Mr Nutley’s Strange Delusionarium” to critical acclaim, by the way you can hear it all on Spotify and buy the special edition with extras on from www.blueapplemusic.co.uk where you can also get T-Shirts……through this year we played with the great and good such as Adam Ant, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Fallen Leaves, 999, The Priscillas, Belgium’s phenomenal Diablo Boulevard, The Coral, The Lurkers, Feeder, From The Jam, Edward Tenpole Tudor and the legend that is Spizz. Special thanks to Andy Moore for stepping in on bass for Mark Taylor while he was out of action due to an operation on his hand which is now all fixed as those who saw us at the 100 Club in Dec 2011 will know. Thanks also to all those who have supported us with their time, skills and ears.

Love on ya
